  SAVE  LENNOX

THE END OF THIS VIDEO MAKES IT WORTH WATCHING PLEASE WATCH!

SAVELENNOX.CO.UK.... SAVE LENNOX FROM EXECUTION

ANOTHER LENNOX VIDEO
Tonight at 7 pm on CNN HLN’s Jane Velez-Mitchell is going to be interviewing Caroline Barnes. Caroline is the dog mom of Lennox, in Belfast Ireland.

Lennox’s story is a sad one but hopefully with any luck and a lot of prayers the ending to this chapter of his life will be a happy one.

Lennox is  a 7 year old American Bull dog Labrador cross, On may 19th 2010 the dog wardens of Belfast showed up at Caroline Barnes home in Belfast. The wardens had tea with Caroline, chatted, played with Caroline’s other dogs and smoked a few ciggerettes before they turned there attention to a dress makers tape measure. The wardens then procided to measure Lennox’s muzzle and rear legs. Based on thouse two measurements they decided that Lennox was a “pit bull type breed” and seized by the Belfast City Council Dog Wardens. Lennox was ripped from his loving family and his other kennel mates.

That was over two years ago, Lennox’s family has done more then required by the law as responsible fog owners, who also foster dogs for various Northern Ireland dog shelters. When Lennox was a puppy his owners had him neutered, licensed, insured, DNA registered, Pet Safe registered and micro chipped and although the Belfast City Council have issued a dog licence for Lennox for the last five years and continue to do so today, the Council now find the need to class him as a Pit Bull type dog and murder him. On the day Lennox was ripped from his family home the Belfast City Council issued his owner with a warrant of seizure which was incorrectly addressed and was for another location, furthermore the Council used the ADBA Inc (American Dog Breeders Association Incorporated) breed standards guide to help identify Lennox as possible Pit Bull type.

LORD PLEASE LET ME LIVE

Lennox’s owners have only been contacted once by the Belfast City Council and this was two hours after Lennox had been taken. One of the Dog Wardens who seized Lennox telephoned Lennox’s owner to say “If you do not sign him over to us to be destroyed then you will most certainly lose your job as we will force a prosecution upon you through the courts.” On many attempts the family have telephoned the Council’s Dog Control Manager but to date the Manager has never taken the families call or returned any calls. Lennox’s family have never been told where he is being kept, what condition he is in, what type of care, feeding or regular exercise he receives.

. A global campaign which boasts hundreds of thousands of supporters and petition signatures has begun in support of Lennox’s freedom. The ADBA Inc, various Animal Rights groups, Animal Welfare organisations, Veterinarians, Dog Breed and Behaviourist Experts have all gave their support for Lennox’s freedom and many supporters who are regular tourists to Northern Ireland have went further to state they will not return to Northern Ireland until Lennox is returned to his home. The most heartfelt plea of all was heard from Brooke, the owners eleven year old Daughter who is registered disabled. Lennox grew up around Brooke and the two became inseparable. Due to Brooke’s illness she is unable to play each day with other children and so found Lennox to always be there as a playmate and someone to be of comfort to her. Since her best friend was taken Brooke has missed much School due to suffering health and unneeded stress caused by missing her dog. Brooke’s specialist Doctor at Belfast Royal Hospital for Sick Children has also expressed growing concern for the child’s separation from her pet.

People from all around the world have joined the fight over the last two years to free Lennox. Cesar Mulian has steped up and offered to take Lennox back to the United States to live with cesar as his personal and forever dog. But still the city of Belfast has denied the request. I have heard rumors that a large amount of money that would be made to as a donation to the city of Belfast in exchange for Lennox (again having him leave the country) was again denied.

Theres 100,000s of people all over the world fighting for this dog’s life to be speared. This dog did nothing wrong, he wasn’t aggressive, the neighbours didn’t call the cops on him for barking, he never bit anyone. He did nothing wrong other then “look” a certin way. If he was a person this would be rasisum or discrisumanation but it’s a dog and the city of Belfast thinks it’s ok to do what they want beucase it’s just that A DOG.

But it’s not just  A DOG, theres a family out there crying for their family member to come home to them. There is a world out there who is outraged that this has happened. There are petitions to free Lennox, to have a vet check Lennox over to see what his health condition is, petitions for the Barnes family to see their dog who they haven’t seen or been given any up dates on his condition since the day he was led away from there home by the dog wardens. People all over the world have come forward offering new homes for Lennox, offering the family money to help pay for the court costs. People ALL over the world are watching and marching. Their was a protest in Belfast and New York City, One that was being put together for here in Toronto Ontario but we fear it’s too late now.

The family was denied their request to say good bye to their beloved pet before he’s put to sleep, or murdered as some people are calling it. They asked if they can have the remains of their pet back to give him a proper barial again they were denied that right. But they were told they would receive some ashs in the mail in a few weeks.

Could you imagine losing every right to your beloved family member, YOUR dog, YOUR best friend, YOUR family member YOUR companion, YOUR buddy, YOUR properity.

It’s not right, it hasn’t been right since the first day the dog wardens showed up to take Lennox. It’s been over two years now and this poor dog has been sitting in a dog jail cell because he’s become eveidence in a court case. All that waiting and bordom the heart ache and physical pain that poor dog must have gone though and all the while not knowing why hes not with his family and why hes not at his home and praying to go home and wondering if he will get to go home and see his family again!!!

NO ONE HAS FORGOT YOU MICHAEL VICK YOU SICK BASTER AND WE WONT FORGET BELFAST

I have been following this story for a long time now. It makes me sick to my stomach and I have shed so many tears for Lennox and his family. I have joined in and lit candles for his safe return, my dogs wear blue collars and banadans to show their support I have blue ribbons on my car and house to again show my support. I fear that everything everyone around the world has worked so hard for is all in vain. I fear that Lennox is no longer with us, But that’s not going to stop a quarter of a million people from fighting for the cause. This should have never been allowed to happen and it should never be allowed to happen AGAIN!

I’m sorry that today’s blog isn’t the usual happy funny blog that makes you laugh but this is something I strongly believe in. And if you my readers don’t agree that’s ok, that’s your opinion but if you do please go to the Save lennox web page, Last I heard so many people were trying to get on to sign the petition that the site went down, there are other ways you can help though, Google save lennox and all of his sites come up. You can also join his facebook page to show your support and get information and updates on his case.

I'm trying to prepare myself for the news that ... Lennox won't be going home but if he has been put down it will break my heart. He's not my dog, he's not my friends dog, but he's a dog who did nothing wrong and is being killed becuase of some bullshit politics.

When huricane katerina hit and people were told they had to leave their pets behind. My Dad was the first one at our table to yell out you would have to shoot me to make me leave my dog. You either take us both or Shoot me cause im staying with my dog one way or the other.

PLEASE PLEASE     DON"T GIVE UP ON ME     DON"T LET ME DIE     PLEASE PLEASE

YOU SKANKY HO!

I have two of the cutest nephews ever! I have adored them since the moment I held each of them. Max a few hours after he was born and Anthony just moments after he arrived. I could have never imagined how great being an Auntie is. I love the hugs and kisses I get, the laughter they bring me and the overall joy I get just see a picture of them. I never knew I could love two kids so much, and being their only aunt who lives in Ontario I like to think they feel the same about me.

I know everyone thinks their children, grandchildren, nephews, nieces god children are the cutest, funniest, smartest so on and so on. But I really do have smart nephews, when Max was younger I taught him how to cheers his baby bottle with my cup and as he got older to say Cheers when he did it. Another proud moment was when I taught him to say “Ahhhhh” after he had a drink.

So it’s no surprise that I always try to watch what I say and do because I have these two little copy cats watching everything I do and say. I have cleaned up my potty mouth quite a bit but whenever I slip Cassandra is always on top of it singing out “F-bomb auntie F-bomb auntie.” Even though I’m not the only one who has let a bad word slip around them, it always seems like I’m the only one who gets caught (until today)
*Evil Laugh* Muah ahahah!

A few weeks ago was my oldest nephews third birthday. As usual my sister threw a big party with snow cones for the kids and buckets of margaritas for the adults. Other then the unbearable heat it was a great kids party. Everyone drank and had a great time including Nonno.  As the party was winding down and just close family remained I began filming the kids playing around on their new John Deer gator that Nonie and Nonno bought as a birthday gift.

I am so happy that I began filming Anthony when I did because I was lucky and caught this on tape…

Hopefully by now you have watched the video and now I’ll explain. The day before the party mom and I were prepping vegetables and different kinds of food for the party. As we were working in the kitchen I decided to put on a dvd of The real housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ). After watching a few episodes of season one my mom was so livid she asked me “what is wrong with that woman?! I can’t believe what a … a… a… skanky ho she is!!!!) And she was right, Danielle from season one is just that, a skanky ho! I have heard my mom swear and call people names before I’ve even seen her literally lay on the horn and shoot someone in traffic the finger once. But I have never heard her use the phrase “skanky ho!”

So when my dad got home that night I was all too excited to tell him about moms new colour full language. We all joked around calling her the skanky ho (all in good fun, we don’t actually call each other skanky hoes), and laughing that mom was now F-bomb Nonnie.

Fathers Day 8

A POEM FOR MY DAD, ON FATHERS DAY

Dad Back In The Day

This is a poem I wrote for my Dad on Father’s day 1998. I printed It out in crazy colors and gave it to him after our Italian meal with my Nona Vivi. My dad smiled and laughed and read it out loud for everyone at the table to hear. But before he could finish the poem, my grandmother piped up saying that I didn’t write this poem that I had copied it from somewhere. My Dad stood up for me telling her that there were things in the poem that he and I had spoke of and joked about for years. He finished reading and laughed the whole time. So I thought I would share it with you my readers, and remind my dad of how damn cute I was. Remember I was only 15 when I wrote this and at the time i never thought anyone other then the people at the table would ever read it.

FATHERS DAY POEM 1998

Dad at a dress up party

You are my Father and I love you lots,
Why can’t I drive in empty parking lots?
I love the things we do together,
I`m almost 16 and a new cars better.

Family

You`re almost broke because of the things I need, (HA, If I only knew)
And don`t forget to fix my car for free.
You drive me places I need to go,
I want a Chevy SS just so you know.

Mom And Dad Halloween

We go somewhere new every year,
I study for the drivers ed cause the test is near.
You love to say hi to Santa clause,
I don`t want a car like ``Who`s the Boss`.

Who's The Boss

You scan all my friends and for that I`m thankful,
I`d like a new mustang I promise I`ll be grateful.
You`ve seen me through my triumphs you`ve witnessed my defeats,
I`ll also need a phone book for the peddles I can`t reach.

Dad Christmas

I thank you lots but love you more,
A car would be nice but love you much more.
You are my father and the best one out there,
Just don`t forget who gets the bills for all the cars care.

Mom And Dad Happy 25th

I`m sorry about the bad times and pray they don`t repeat,
I`ll love my new car and give it some cow cover car seats.
Words can`t say you how much I love and thank you,
A car would be nice but this poem is just to thank you.

Mom And Dad Italy 2004

There may have been a small hidden agenda in that poem but none the less it still made my dad laugh. Even though I was a horrible teenager and I`m surprised I did`t make my dad`s hair fall out, He has always supported me and made me laugh. I thought I would share a few of my favorite father daughter moments from over the years with you. Let's take a look down memory lane.

My Dad Looking Down Memory Lane Haha

- I remember when you owned Wacky Webster's and mom and I had to bring you a pair of shoes to work. Because you left the house that morning wearing one brown and one black shoe.

- Once my friend Cheryl and family friend Adam Stallaert almost had my Dad convinced that because we each had a G1 drivers licence that it really equaled a 3G and as long as the three of us were together we could drive alone.

Dad At The Stallaert's Cottage

- On a trip home from Florida one year, We were pulled over by the cops in Georgia and my dad was given a speeding ticket. In Georgia you have to pay the ticket on the spot if you are out of state. We didn't have that much U.S currency on us, so the cop took my Dad off to the maximum security prison. And that's where he stayed while my mom frantically searched for an ATM to "bail" my dad out of jail.

Georgia State Prison

Dad Golfing

- Another drive home from Florida, My dad stopped for fuel late evening/early morning. My sister and I were asleep in the back when my dad got out to pump the gas. We woke up and noticed we were stopped so we decided to run in for a bathroom break. Somehow we missed my dad going in and out of the store. When my sister and I came out of the gas station we noticed our car was gone. We looked at each other and let out a "huh!" Luckily we only had to wait a minute or two before my mom yelled at my dad that he forgot us at the gas station. To this day Cassandra and I are the only people I know who can almost make it to Florida without needing a bathroom break.

Me Dad And Cassandra At The Beach

HAHA

-When I was younger and my extended family would get together, they would play a lot of card games. My sister and I were to young to play so my dad made up a game for us. He called it "Flipper" and to this day I still play it every now and then.

I wanted to add some pictures of my dad and I together. But I quickly noticed that I didn't have any pictures of him and I, Where I wasn't sitting behind him and sneaking in a picture...

Again taking a picture without him knowing.
Yet, Another picture where Cassandra seemed to have made it into the shot. lol.

So I took her out of this one! HA Finally!!!! Me and My Dad!
 HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

Dad As Magnum P.I

The Real Magnum P.I
I know crazy, but it was the time of Magnum P.I. Which by the way was still widely popular when I lived in Hawaii. life sized Magnum P.I cut outs and memorabilia were everywhere!!!

My Dad The Captain

Years after the "diaper situation" my mom had left me home with my dad again, figuring I was potty trained now whats the worst that could happen. My dad was in his bathroom shaving and in I came curious about what he was doing. I picked up a razor and ran my finger along the blade. Blood starting dripping out and my dad looked down at me grabbing the razor out of my hands thinking how lucky he was to have caught me with a razor just in time. Until I raised my hand and showed him the blood dripping down my hand from my finger. If you know my father you know the thought of blood is enough to make him sick. But he handled it well by bandaging it up and trying to hide it from my mom.
